Bridgman formula for the thermal conductivity of atomic and molecular liquids

چکیده
A simple and popular Bridgman's model predicts a linear correlation between the thermal conductivity coefficient sound velocity of dense liquids. proportionality proposed originally is fixed independent liquid molecular structure. This work reports systematic analysis correlations in systems (hard sphere Lennard-Jones fluids), monoatomic liquids (argon krypton), diatomic (nitrogen oxygen), several polyatomic (water, carbon dioxide, methane, ethane). It demonstrated that are well reproduced for fluids as real liquids, but seem less convincing The not fixed; it about unity generally increases with complexity. Some implications possibility to predict coefficients discussed.
